My Time @ Ogliastro

Updated: Sep 15, 2019

Ogliastro pronounced ol-yas-tro ( I am missing the accent signs) is quite the tongue twister. I went here with one of my friends on a beautiful Saturday evening to try out some of their pizza selections and I must say I am very impressed ! It's a cute little pizza bar out in Brooklyn and I think it's the perfect place to go especially when the weather gets nice out!

Address: 784 Washington Ave Brooklyn, NY 11238

As soon as we entered we were greeted at the door. We went around 3:30 on a Saturday and it was not packed at all. I am not sure if it is like that every Saturday around that time, but if you like places when it is not too busy then I would recommend going early. They have an open bar if you just want to go for drinks. However, my friend and I were strictly there for the pizza !

This place is Italian so they do offer an array of different wines, but I didn't get to try them. I definitely plan on trying it next time I go. We ended up ordering two pizzas: The Margherita and The Bufala pizza. Both were amazing. It was thin crust, but pretty filling. You can tell that they used organic ingredients which they tell you on the bottom of the menu. I also loved the decor inside . It had a nice dinner ambiance and the music was good too. Every so often I found myself head bopping to the tunes. I also thought the pricing was pretty decent too. I highly recommend this spot during the summer especially because they open up the patio for outside seating . This place is great for a group or a few friends. I also think it is great for a date night because I'm definitely going to take my boyfriend there. I give Ogliastro a 10/10 overall ! Highly recommend it. :)
