My Fashion Highlight of The Week is literally a big ball of energy . He always has a smile on his face and he brings joy to everybody he meets ! His style is simple yet urban. Chase is embarking on a new journey by becoming a stylist. I had the pleasure of working with him on collaborations recently and he had me laughing the entire time. His personality is seriously so magnetic. His brand will be going by the name of " Fashion Bag." Look out world because he's got a lot in store. Read all about what he had to say about his personal style and more .
1.) How would you describe your personal style ?
" I would describe my style as urban and comfy, well, at least to me lol ! Somedays sweatpants and a nice t- shirt is good for me, but when I really have to pop out then I pop out with a nice pair of jeans and shirt. I like to go for my fav pair of jeans which I call my Fashionnova pants ( the camouflage ones in the picture ) and I pair it with a shirt and shoes that bring it together, but I also have a dash of preppy influence. Who doesn't love preppy clothes at times ? "
2.) What are three words that describe you ?
" I am a very bubbly person ! You will always catch me with a smile on my face and a pep in my voice, even in the morning. I have people tell me at 8:30 in the morning that I am too happy for them lol. I am very energetic for some reason. I have to be on the move at all times. Like, I can not get bored or I will go crazy. Of course I can be chill and go with the flow, but I rather be up and moving doing something. I am also very caring. I take people' s feelings into consideration more than my own. That can be negative at times, but I just care a lot about people and always want them to succeed, especially my friends and family."
3.) What is some fashion advice that you would want to share with others ?
" My advice is to wear what makes you happy and confident. I have seen people who wear the " perfect " outfit, but they did not feel confident in it so it made the outfit look bland. Another piece of advice I have is you do not need to wear designer to dress well. I have seen people in designer and the whole outfit was trash and did not go together. People who shop at Ross, Target and Walmart for clothes and the fit still looks amazing is what made me want to choose local clothes over designer. "
4.) Who is your biggest fashion inspiration ?
" My biggest fashion inspiration is my friends because they all shop in the same stores I do and make the clothes look good. Some of my friends even go to vintage and thrift stores and pop out with an outfit that is stunning. For example, my friend Henry who has amazing fashion sense and my favorite outfits that he wears is the clothes he got from vintage and thrift stores .Overall all of my friends fashion sense is amazing, especially my close friends, like Kaniaya, Noelle, Irene, Chante, Jianee, Samori, Asia, Simone, Adriana and many more."
5.) Where do you go shopping ?
" I shop mainly at H &M, Old Navy, and Forever 21. I do shop at other stores, but those are the main ones I go to . They have cute shit. Especially H&M bomber jackets. I do need to find this one specific one my friend Jordy has though. It is black with red roses on it, but these stores have never let me down in finding stuff to wear. The problem I think I have now is buying too much clothes lol ."
6.) In your opinion, what is a big fashion no no ?
" .A big fashion no no to me is an outfit clashing. In my opinion, an outfit has to make sense and has to compliment each other, especially if you are putting a pic up for the Gram. I will admit I used to clash some of my outfits when I was 12/ 3 years old, but I was not really into fashion then. I took fashion seriously when I was a sophomore in high school. Anyways, back to the point, clashing is a huge no no ! You want your outfit to wow people and make sense. You do not want people to look at you crazy."
Fashion Bag ~ Chase's new Styling venture is on its way ! He will soon have a styling page where you get to see all his different looks put together and so much more. I do not want to give away too much, but Chase did a really great job styling me in the new Baby Phat Collection at Forever 21. He did such an amazing job at putting the different looks together and he was very professional. I loved how easy he was to work with during our collaboration. I can't wait for you guys to see the big reveal along with his other looks ! Stay tuned for " Fashion Bag," it is going to be a real treat !
