St. Lucia Carnival Fete Guide: Where to Go, What to Wear, and What to Expect

One of the most iconic parts of St. Lucia Carnival is the fete season — a non-stop lineup of events leading up to the big road march. If you're heading to Lucian Carnival, don't just think about the costume. The fetes are where you pre-game, turn up, and really get a taste of the vibes. Here's your full guide to the best parties, what to wear, and what to budget.

First order of business:

How to Say "Fête"

Pronounced: fet (like pet but with an “f”)

Not pronounced feets — we’re partying, not running a marathon 😄

Must-Attend Fetes for 2025:

FYI: If you see the option for a VIP ticket for any fete, the ticket is usually drink and food inclusive. It will state it. I honestly think the real vibes are in the regular admission, just make sure you have cash to buy food and drinks because there are usually vendors at the fetes. I will put a star (*) near the ones I think it is worth buying a VIP ticket for if it isn't already all-inclusive. Also, another thing to keep in mind, there are TONS of fetes, you do NOT have to spend all your money at the most popular fetes there are other ones to enjoy that are just as good. Follow @carnivalsaintlucia on Instagram for a full list and to see what is happening. It is also wise to start buying your fete tickets months in advance. You might be wondering, well, "Twiggy how do I know when the tickets are out?" The answer is simple here, follow the pages on social media to find out when the tickets drop. Put your post notifications to use. I would also just like to state that this is my PERSONAL opinion, based on my own experiences and things that I've heard from other people who have attended these events. So with that being said, don't come for me.

1. SOAKT (by Xuvo Carnival)

• Vibe: Cool-down meets wild-up. Water, foam, vibes.

• Outfit: Swimwear, mesh, reflective gear — come ready to get wet.

• Cost: $60–$100 USD

• Tip: Waterproof everything. It gets dirtyyy, don't wear good shoes, meaning don't wear anything that you have to spend a lot of time cleaning off. This is NOT the fete for that

2. Indulgence (Just 4 Fun Carnival) ` SELLS OUT FAST (Sold out already)

• Vibe: Premium All-Inclusive fete with clean, elegant energy.

• Outfit: Statement resort wear — flowy, floral, elevated sexy.

• Cost: $150 USD

• Tip: Dress to impress

3. Brazen (*) (VIP is sold out already, but regular admission tickets are still available)

• Vibe: Lucian party girls’ dream. Big soca energy with a bold twist.

• Outfit: Think edgy glam — bodysuits, cargos, metallics.

• Cost: $78-90 USD reg ticket, 150+ USD VIP ticket

• Tip: Arrive early to catch the warmup DJs and claim your photo-op spots. They also have cool activations giving you goodies you can take with you on the road

4. Escape (Just 4 Fun Carnival) SELLS OUT FAST (Sold out already)

• Vibe: All-inclusive vibes with a beautiful aesthetic.

• Outfit: Color-themed pieces, coordinated fits look amazing here.

• Cost: $150 USD

• Tip: Don't be the odd ball out, there is a theme every year! Dress for the theme please and thanks

5. Colour Me Red (*)

• Vibe: High energy, headliner-style Soca concert.

• Outfit: Red-themed EVERYTHING. Go off.

• Cost: $90–$150 USD (early bird available)

• Tip: Wear comfortable shoes.

• Vibe: Soca Concert vibes, local DJs + a sweet start to the carnival season.

• Outfit: short sets and casual vibes.

• Cost: $50–$100 USD

• Tip: Wear comfy shoes and something you can move and dance in .

• Cost: $45–$120 USD

• Tip: Bring a cooler and and your drinks in beforehand

Carnival Bands & Their Fete Ties

If you’re rolling with a band, keep in mind they often have signature events:

• Just 4 Fun Carnival hosts Indulgence, Remedy, Heellooo, and Escape

• XUVO Carnival brings the madness with SOAKT, this year they will be having a ton of new events, so if you're jumping with this band you have options

• Red Carnival Band Brings Colour me Red and Red Brunch

• Fuzion Mas Band Hosts Blocko and Sunlit Brunch

Some bands may offer fete packages or bundle discounts, so once you register, check your emails and their IG pages for exclusive codes and early bird tickets.

• Transportation (Taxis/Ubers): ~$100 USD

• Outfits (Head to Toe): ~$200–$350 USD pro tip: you don't to buy new clothes see what you have already, to cut down on this cost

Tip: Plan 1–2 rest moments. Even the pros burn out! Or if you're about that life you can just take a quick nap in the car to the next fete. That way you're bright eyed and bushy tailed for the next fete lol.
